Directions to Deerfield Park Chalets:

From the Exxon Station in Hill City, Take Deerfield Road #17 (blacktop highway) 8.5 miles to NF 300 also labeled "East Slate Rd".  It is a gravel road.  Turn left.  About 2.2 miles down this road look right and you will see the Chalets and lake back in the valley.

If you are one of our confirmed guests:  turn right on "Deerfield Park Drive" and you will see the gate.  Use the right side manual gate with the padlock.  It will be with the keys.  Lock gate behind you and travel about .8 miles down this road and turn right into the horseshoe shaped parking area for the condos.  There are brass numbers on our three units.

If you have come to fish the lake and are not a confirmed guest of ours, you must first call the Game, Fish, and Parks Division at 1-605-394-2391 and they will instruct you on how you can get to this lake and fish it without trespassing on private property.  You will need a current SD fishing license.  Locals and game wardens say this lake is full of fish!  The lake belongs to the People and The State of South Dakota.
If you should be denied access to this lake when you have followed the instructions given you by the GFP Office or GFP Officer, get the name of the individual (s) denying you access and call the GFP immediately.
